The Katrina urbanik studio consists of a MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM of designers and architects dedicated to the highest levels of detail and creative expression. We believe that HISTORY and MODERNITY, IMAGINATION and DISCIPLINE, SUSTAINABLE, INNOVATION REFINEMENT and anomalies can and should COEXIST. Inspiration is found within the resulting tension, the singular integration of experiences. A creative cross-pollination in the studio inherently informs our architecture and interiors projects and furniture, lighting, textiles, home décor and product designs of every scale.

Katrina Urbanik, founder and principal of KATRINA URBANIK AS, is an Norwegian-polish architect and innovator creating multi-faceted, experiential residential, hospitality, commercial / retail architecture and environments as well as expansive collections of lifestyle product designs. With the demonstration of provocative concepts and expressive narratives signature to her extensive body of work, Katrina Urbanik is internationally recognized with distinctive design awards and numerous publications.
A multi-layered, stimulating sensory experience is at the centre of Katrina Urbanik’s design approach. Through an exploration of materiality, colour, forms and an intuitive juxtaposition of contemporary and vintage, architectural and organic, graphic and instinctual, she curates a wealth of experiences into every projects and into every space.
Katrina Urbanik believes that honouring history, location, sustainability and architecture is imperative to pushing the boundaries and challenging the rules.
Among Katrina Urbanik’s most notable projects are AEC EXCELLENCE AWARDS winning project WILD in North Norway, award winning residential project in Drammen, Norway, fabulous residential project in Nesøya used in famous Norwegian TV serie EXIT, vertical Farming Hybrid to House Norwegian's Aging Population, ReStart Noahs ark, the whole Spark idea and concept which later was developed by Snøhetta Architects, Green Bond innovative solutions, Technology park in Bryne, and community based agro-tourism as an innovative integrated farming system development model towards sustainable agriculture and tourism in Svart next to Svart hotel in Northern Norway.
Katrina Urbanik is currently designing for a new age of residential houses, powered by 100% renewable energy with a distinctive vision of authentic cultural immersion and site-specific design.
Katrina Urbanik is very well educated architect and business developer with enormous experience and ideas. She is experienced project director in the real estate industry with many years of expertise in architectural design, turnkey construction, environment, climate, innovation, sustainable development, off-grid technologies, environmental strategy, vertical agriculture, and digitalisation of real estate development processes. She is also registered BREEAM-NOR AP and develops many innovative residential projects with BREEAM certificates we will launch very shortly.
